Mark Stone and Mitch Marner brought their connection to Milan.
The Vegas Golden Knights stars combined for a highlight-reel goal during the second period of Canada’s preliminary-round matchup against Czechia on Thursday.
Marner played give-and-go with Sidney Crosby in the neutral zone with Marner along the left wall. He cut to the middle and fired a terrific saucer pass to Stone on the weak side to give Canada a 2-0 lead at 6:40 of the middle frame.

The two wingers have developed great chemistry together as linemates with the Knights. Marner has been Stone’s center as of late, but has moved to left wing with the three-time Stanley Cup champion and two-time gold medalist Crosby in the middle.
The three together create a defensive nightmare for the opposition, but that goal shows they have enough to produce offensively, as well.

Canada entered as a heavy favorite, but pulled away late to a surprising 5-0 shutout victory over Knights center Tomas Hertl and Czechia.
Eleven different players recorded a point for Canada. Connor McDavid led with three assists, and Crosby had two helpers.
Marner and Stone are looking to win their first Olympic gold as first-time Olympians. They’re off to a good start.
