Let’s call it like it is, the news just dropped and things are getting pretty shaken up in front of the net in Laval.

The Rocket therefore made an emergency recall of goaltender Hunter Jones from the Trois-Rivières Lions today.

It’s simple, the infirmary is starting to overflow in front of the farm team’s net, as Kaapo Kahkonen has also been dealing with an injury for the past few weeks.

Fowler was heavily relied upon with seven starts in just 15 days before last weekend’s break.

We can agree that this workload may have finally caught up to the 21-year-old netminder.

Let’s be honest, the situation is far from ideal for the head coach, who has to prepare for an intense stretch.

The official schedule shows no mercy, with three games in four days starting Friday night.

Laval is in a tight race for the playoffs, and the absence of a number-one goaltender could hurt.

Can the Rocket survive without Fowler?

We’ll be watching tomorrow morning’s practice to see if Fowler can at least serve as a backup.

If Jones has to start the game, the pressure will be enormous on his shoulders to keep the team in it.

Let’s hope Kahkonen returns quickly to stabilize the defensive unit and allow for a quick turnaround.
