Multiple Los Angeles Kings players have helped their home countries to wins on the ice while representing the franchise in this past couple of days late this week in the 2026 Winter Olympics. All four Kings’ players who are in the active roster lineups in the 2026 Winter Olympics on the ice late this week have debuted in Italy on Wednesday and Thursday in the past 48 hours or so.

Kevin Fiala and Adrian Kempe from the Los Angeles Kings have each registered points in Olympics-opening wins for their teams late this week in Milan

On Wednesday, Joel Armia and Team Finland opened up the 2026 Winter Olympics with a surprising loss by a score of 4-1 on the scoreboard to Team Slovakia in round robin play. Adrian Kempe and Team Sweden rebounded for the Kings with a convincing multi-goal win over Italy on Feb. 11.

There were better fortunes consistently for the Kings’ players representing their home countries and the franchise on Thursday morning in the last 24 hours. Drew Doughty and Kevin Fiala both had shutout wins by multiple goals on the scoreboard for Team Canada and Switzerland, respectively, on Thursday morning.

Here are three Kings’ wingers representing their home countries and the franchise who registered at least one point on the stat sheet in the opening two days of the Winter Olympics.

Fiala will be an incredibly crucial player on the ice for Team Switzerland if they want a chance at a path to the gold medal game or a silver medal. He registered an assist on the game’s fourth goal by linemate and forward Timo Meier in the final frame in the third period vs. France today to put Switzerland up by a commanding score of 4-0 on the scoreboard.

Joel Armia, W (Finland)

Armia helped Team Finland tie the game up on the scoreboard yesterday in the Finn’s opening game in the Winter Olympics in the middle of this week. But Finland couldn’t build any momentum on the scoreboard or on the ice after the goal Armia assisted yesterday by Florida Panthers’ Eeli Tolvanen.

Armia was a +1 in plus/minus rating yesterday for Finland in the loss to Slovakia. Finland is looking to bounce back in round robin play in a crucial game on Friday morning (Feb. 13) vs. Kempe and Sweden at 3:10 a.m. PT.

Adrian Kempe, W (Sweden)

After a pretty slow start offensively in the zone yesterday on the ice and on the scoreboard vs. the host country in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Team Italy, Sweden and Kempe picked up the pace scoring the puck in the middle frame in the second period. Kempe registered an assist on the eventual game-winning goal in the middle frame in the second period yesterday by forward William Nylander.
