I’m Fitzpatrick at the Venice train station, and all over Italy today, one of the biggest things people will be watching is the ice hockey matchup between the US and the host nation. There is *** player playing for Italy this year who has ties to an American college, and her fan following is something else. There’s no missing Team Tutino as they move around Milan. 50 members of number 82’s family are here to support Italian forward Kayla Tuttino. It’s been *** life dream of hers to play at the Olympics, and here we are. Kayla played for Boston University at 33. This is her Olympic debut for Team Italy. She has one of the biggest family followings at the Olympics. The matching jerseys and beanies, well, they keep this team together. We’re all super happy to be. Kayla made this possible for everybody. We’ve been in very close communication. I try to keep it very light and fluffy, or I’ll try to elevate them, but I think overall she’s got this. So where are all these Tinos staying? Well, amazingly they were actually able to basically take over an entire hotel. They’re all staying in the same spot just north of Milan at the Milan Cortina Olympics. I’m Deirdre Fitzpatrick.
