A Western Conference club has been linked to a pair of Vancouver Canucks forward ahead of the trade deadline as they look to make a push for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The trade deadline is right around the corner, three weeks away to be exact, and it’s going to be quite a busy period for the Vancouver Canucks and General Manager Patrik Allvin as the club intends on pushing forward with their plans to rebuild.
Amid their rebuilding plans, the Vancouver Canucks are expected to part ways with their pending unrestricted free agents – Evander Kane, David Kampf and Teddy Blueger – all of whom will generate interest on the market once the Olympic roster freeze ends.
“We may end up saying no to offers, certainly, but we’re not going to say no to having conversations about any player. This is about improving this team without taking shortcuts.” Rutherford said.

With Utah among several teams looking to make a splash before March 6th, Drance and Dayal wonder if the Vancouver Canucks could be a potential trade partner for them, mentioning that Brock Boeser and Jake DeBrusk as options for Mammoth General Manager Bill Armstrong.
“Over the past month or so, Utah has been utilizing both Kailer Yamamoto and Michael Carcone in key top-nine spots in their lineup. Through that lens, adding a young veteran winger with a history of elevating their game in the postseason — think Jake DeBrusk or Brock Boeser — could punch up Utah’s offensive attack significantly.” Drance and Dayal said.
While the Canucks might be open to listening to offers on players like Brock Boeser and Jake DeBrusk, there’s no guarantee that Patrik Allvin will move either of them before the deadline in March and if he does, it’ll have to be for multiple assets that will benefit the club’s rebuild.
The Mammoth currently have one first round pick and three second round picks to utilize leading up to the trade deadline, along with several prospects including Cole Beaudoin, Daniil But and Artyom Duda.
