Anton Lundell scored the game-winning goal in Finland’s 4-1 victory over Sweden at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.

Lundell’s first of the tournament came at 15:26 of the first period and was assisted by his Florida Panthers teammates Eetu Luostarinen and Niko Mikkola.

In addition to lighting the lamp, Lundell made a goal-saving defensive play. He logged of 18:42 ice time, won 12 of 22 faceoffs, had two shots on goal and finished with a plus-two rating.

Luostarinen also finished with a plus-two rating while playing 19:42. He did not register a shot on goal.

Mikkola had two shots on goal and finished the game with a plus-two rating. He played 17:17, leaving the game in third after taking a puck in the shin.

Sweden’s Gustav Forsling logged 19:27 of ice time and finished the tilt with a minus-one rating. He was on the ice for Lundell’s goal.

Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart contributed to Canada’s 5-1 win over Switzerland in action from Group A.

Bennett logged 10:33 of ice time as the team’s 13th forward. He registered three shots on goal and won one of his two faceoffs. Bennett drew a tripping penalty on Dean Kukan that led to Connor McDavid’s game-opening power play goal.

Reinhart was on the ice for that goal. He played 13:21, had one shot on goal and lost the only darw he took.

Brad Marchand did not play in the game. He was replaced by Seth Jarvis.
