A new team has been confirmed to be emerging as a serious landing spot for Vancouver Canucks forward Evander Kane, who is clearly expected to be on the move prior to the trade deadline.

“Evander Kane’s agent Dan Milstein has been given permission to help facilitate a trade for his client.” Rick Dhaliwal said.

New team enters the mix for Vancouver Canucks veteran forward Evander Kane

As of mid-February, there are three teams that have been linked to Evander Kane – the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars and Los Angeles Kings, the latter of whom went as far as holding discussions with the Vancouver Canucks about a potential deal.

“While it’s still a rumor – something we don’t normally spend too much time on, but this was just too intriguing to not stop and give it pause for a few minutes – two separate sources over the past week have indicated to Mayor’s Manor that they believe Holland is kicking the tires on a potential Kane trade.” Mayor’s Manor said.

“The Bruins have been named as a potential destination for Kane already, and it’s not hard to see the personality match. The Bruins pride themselves on their heavy play, and have built a roster to accommodate that. But some of their heavier wingers, in Jeannot and Kastelic, are probably playing a little too high up the lineup in the current moment.” Stephan Roget of Canucks Army said.

The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly seeking a third round pick in exchange for Evander Kane and the Boston Bruins certainly have the assets to get a deal done, with GM Don Sweeney having one third and three fourths to work with in this year’s NHL Entry Draft.
