Those wanting to meet some of their favourite Calgary Flames players will have the opportunity to do so early next week.
CrossIron Mills will be kicking off their C of Red Celebration this coming week, which will include the entire Flames team.
On Monday, Feb. 23, Flames players will be set up at booths in various locations across the mall to sign autographs for fans. They will be at their respective booths, ready to sign and engage with fans from 5 to 7 p.m. Lineups will open up at 2 p.m.
This is nothing new for the Flames, who have been doing events just like this at CrossIron Mills for years. It’s a great opportunity for fans of all ages to have brief conversations with some of their favourite NHL stars, all while receiving some autographs.
As per CrossIron Mills’ website, photos with players will not be permitted at this event. Only one card or personal item can be signed per player, though the Flames will be equipped with player cards.
The Flames are in the midst of a lengthy Olympic break, having last played on Feb. 4 versus the Edmonton Oilers. They will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 26, versus the San Jose Sharks.
For any Flames fans starving to watch some hockey, you’re in luck, as Martin Pospisil and Slovakia are set to take on Leon Draisaitl and Germany on Wednesday. An alarm clock will be needed, however, as puck drop is set for 4:10 a.m. MT.
