Filip Hallander acknowledged that it might be a little “weird to say,” but he thinks the time since he was diagnosed with a blood clot in November was “the best three months” for him.
“You get perspective on things when stuff like that happens,” Hallander said. “When something that’s so close to you almost gets away from you, you love it even more when you get a chance to do it again. I’ve been healthy enough to practice as normal, and I’ve been surrounded with a lot of good, good people here. Now you have a lot of time to think and to work on yourself.”
Hallander said that he didn’t want to get into specifics about his blood clot, but didn’t seem too worried about it being an issue in the future.
“It’s fine,” he said. “We’ll leave it at that.”
