Everything went as planned on Tuesday, and now we will see Buffalo Sabre on Sabre action in the quarterfinals of Men’s Hockey in this year’s Olympics.

Team Sweden Will Face Team USA

Team USA went 3-0 in the preliminary round of the Olympics this year, earning the 2nd seed and a bye heading into the quarterfinals.

Team Sweden was not so lucky. Rasmus Dahlin, the Buffalo Sabres captain, and his Team Sweden teammates had to play in the Playoff·Qualifiers this afternoon against Team Latvia.

Team Latvia went 1-2 in the preliminary round, only beating Germany, while Team Sweden went 2-1 in the prelims.

Rasum Dahlin has scored 1 goal while adding 3 assists so far during these Olympic Games.

On the flip side, Tage Thompson has scored a couple of goals for Team USA. He has been one of the better forwards for Team USA so far during these Olympic Games.  

Team Sweden won on Tuesday, so now they will face Team USA on Wednesday, with the puck drop set for around 3:10 pm on Wednesday.

Buffalo Sabre Ready To Return To Action

The Buffalo Sabres will be back on the ice soon. The NHL took a couple week pause for the Olympics, but will soon be back on the ice.

The Sabres will be back together next week. Their first game back from the Olympic break will be on February 25th, on the road to take on the New Jersey Devils.
