(Milan) — The U-S men’s hockey team is headed to the semifinals at the Winter Olympics for the first time in over a decade. Minnesota Wild star defenseman Quinn Hughes netted the game-winner just over three-minutes into overtime to lift Team U-S-A past Sweden 2-1 in the quarterfinals in Milan. His Wild teammate Matt Boldy assisted on the game-winner. Mika Zibanejad tied the game for the Swedes with just 1:31 remaining in the third period to force O-T. Dylan Larkin opened the scoring for the U-S, which will face Slovakia in the semifinals on Friday. It’s Team U-S-A’s first Olympic win over Sweden since 1960 when the Americans won gold at Squaw Valley.
