Hilary Knight scored the tying marker with 2:04 remaining in regulation and Megan Keller notched the golden goal 4:07 into overtime, finishing a sweet inside-out move on the backhand to lift the United States to a 2-1 win over Canada in the final of the Womens tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Aerin Frankel stopped 30 of 31 shots as the Americans won the gold medal for the third time.

Switzerland took bronze with a 2-1 overtime win over Sweden, who made the medal round out of Group B. Alina Müller scored the game-winning goal at the 9:09 mark.

A bevy of Florida Panthers will take part in today’s seminfinal round games in the Men’s tournament. Matthew Tkachuk and the United States will do battle with Slovakia while up to six Cats (Sam Reinhart, Brad Marchand, Sam Bennett, Anton Lundell, Eetu Luostarinen and Niko Mikkola) could see action in the clash between Canada and Finland.

Tkachuk has played in all four of the Americans’ games and is tied with Quinn Hughes for the team lead in assists with five.

Luostarinen is tied for team lead in assists with Mikko Rantanen with four in four games; Mikkola has three assists in four games; and Lundell has a goal and assist in three games for Finland.

Reinhart (four games), Bennett (three games) and Marchand (two games) have all collected one assist for Canada.
