Hynes discussed being an assistant coach on the USA men’s hockey team and the gold medal game against Canada and provided a Jonas Brodin injury update. Brodin is back on the ice, but will still be out for an extended period.

The three USA Wild players Brock Faber, Quinn Hughes, and Matt Boldy will play Thursday in Denver against the Avalanche. None of the three were on the ice for Wednesday’s practice.

Owner Craig Leipold sent a private plane to pick the three up in Washington D.C. They were back in the Twin Cities in time Wednesday afternoon to hop on the Wild’s charter plane to Denver.
