Now that the Olympic break is over, the Dallas Stars took some time to celebrate some gold medalists on Wednesday night.
The Stars played three separate videos on the American Airlines Center jumbotron to honor Jake Oettinger and the U.S. men’s hockey team, Coppell’s Hannah Bilka of the U.S. women’s hockey team and Plano figure skater Amber Glenn.
Bilka’s video was played first in front of the home crowd. The video included highlights of Bilka’s Olympic tournament with the U.S. women’s hockey team. Bilka, who plays for the Seattle Torrent of the PWHL, led the U.S. women’s team with four goals during the Olympic tournament. She also posted three assists and was named a tournament All-Star.

The U.S. men’s hockey team was celebrated with a video a few minutes later. Oettinger dressed out as Connor Hellebuyck’s backup for several games in the men’s team’s gold medal run. Fans in the arena celebrated the team’s video with a loud round of applause.
Finally, the Stars gave a shoutout to Glenn. While competing for the U.S. in the Winter Games in Italy, Glenn won gold in the team event. The 26-year-old Glenn was born in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High. She spent much of her early life training in McKinney, Frisco and Euless.
