Forward Sonny Milano has been reassigned by the Washington Capitals to their AHL affiliate team, the Hershey Bears after clearing waivers on Thursday.

The 29-year-old was waived by the Caps on Wednesday so that the team could have an open roster spot to activate forward Connor McMichael from IR.

The last time Milano played AHL hockey, also for the Bears, was back in the 2022-23 season where he played five games, putting up three points (2G, 1A). He played the majority of that season with Washington, registering his best numbers in a Capitals jersey with 33 points (11G, 22A) in 64 games.
