The St. Louis Blues have a 20-28-9 record with 49 points this season. St. Louis is on the verge of potentially being major sellers at the NHL trade deadline this season. The trade deadline will be next Friday March 6.
One of the names that could potentially be on the move is goalie Jordan Binnington. Binnington has won a Stanley Cup in his NHL career during the 2018-2019 season with St. Louis. If he were to be traded elsewhere, it would have to be to certain teams because of his no-trade clause in his contract.

This season, Binnington has an 8-17-6 record with a 3.65 GAA, and a .864 save percentage, along with one shutout. What are the odds that he will be traded before the NHL trade deadline?
NHL Insider Thinks That the St. Louis Blues Can Very Well Trade Goalie Jordan Binnington
If Binnington were to be traded to another team, this would not be a rental situation. He will have another year remaining on his contract after this season. Binnington would have a cap hit of $6 million for this season and $6 million for next season as well.

Chris Johnston of the Athletic listed him as a potential player who could be traded at the NHL trade deadline. He said about the possibility of the Blues trading Binnington, “Binnington burnished his reputation as a big-game goalie for Team Canada at the Milan Cortina Olympics, delivering a strong performance for the silver medallists despite arriving at that tournament with some of the worst numbers among NHL starters.
That had to catch the eye of competitive teams looking for an upgrade in goal. The trade market is thin on viable options at the position. Binnington’s contract includes a 14-team no-trade clause and runs through the end of next season.”
He is 32 years old. Binnington would have to be traded to a team that is ready to win now and is a goalie away. One team that could be an interesting situation for him is the Montreal Canadiens. Montreal is a contender, but they may need another goalie. The Ottawa Senators could be another team that could potentially trade for Binnington.
