Kylie Kelce has weighed in on the drama between Donald Trump and the USA women’s hockey team.
Travis Kelce‘s sister-in-law did not hold back when addressing the controversy that blew up on Sunday, February 22, after the USA’s men’s hockey team won gold at the Winter Olympics.
Travis and Kylie Kelce became family after the latter married the older of the two Kelce brothers, Jason Kelce. She has since made a name for herself as a podcaster.
Kylie Kelce Supports The USA Women’s Hockey Team Against Donald Trump
The drama between Trump and the USA’s women’s hockey team began when his locker room call with the men’s hockey team went viral. During the call, the President joked about needing to invite the female athletes to the State of the Union address to avoid impeachment.
The male players in the locker room laughed alongside the President, a situation Kylie did not find funny. Although she did not mention Trump or the men’s hockey team, her words alluded to their dismissive reaction to the female hockey team’s achievements.
On the February 26 episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast shared on YouTube, Kylie made it clear that she stood with the female players.
“The women of Team USA officially won eight of 12 of our gold medals at the Winter Olympics,” she raved, claiming it was the sixth consecutive Olympics where U.S. women have won more gold than the men.
Travis Kelce’s Sister-In-Law Sent A Blunt Message To Donald Trump
Kylie continued raving about the incredible accomplishments of female athletes representing the U.S., declaring that their triumph over the men “gives you something to laugh about.” She went on to send a blunt message to Trump and the men’s hockey team, saying:
“We just want to make sure that everyone’s aware of the women carrying Team USA on their backs. And to the giggles… YUCK.”
Kylie also gave a special shout-out to rap icon Flavor Flav for supporting the women’s hockey team following Trump’s diss. She noted that he wasn’t just a big supporter of the Olympics but a man who supported all women in sports, even “sports that might not get as much visibility.”
Flavor Flav Offered To Host The Women’s Hockey Team
A day after Trump’s locker-room call went viral, Flavor Flav echoed his support for the women’s hockey team on the social media platform Bluesky. He dropped a throwback gif of himself rocking a golden crown with the words “Yeah Boyyy!” across the screen alongside a sweet offer.
Flavor Flav declared that if the USA Women’s Hockey team wanted “a real celebration and invite,” he would host them in Las Vegas. He offered them nice dinners, shows, and good times, noting he could find a hotel and airline willing to “celebrate these women for real for real.”
Flavor Flav’s and Kylie’s support of the women’s hockey team earned them touching responses from fans. Someone hailed the rapper as the “hope in these dark times,” with another declaring he’d “make a much better president.” As for Kylie, fans applauded her for standing on the right side.
The Women’s Hockey Team Declined The President’s State Of The Union Invite
Flavor Flav’s offer arrived at the perfect time as the women’s hockey team had declined Trump’s invitation to his State of the Union address. NBC News reported that a team spokesperson confirmed the rejection in a statement.
The spokesperson claimed the women’s hockey team was honored by Trump’s invitation; however, they had to decline. The rep cited “the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments following the Games” as the reason female athletes were rejected.
The statement followed Trump’s jokes about the female hockey team during his celebratory call with their male counterparts. Two siblings, in particular, faced the heat for laughing alongside the President, but they did not condemn his actions.

Quinn and Jack Hughes, the stars of the USA’s men’s hockey team, were dragged into the crossfire following the locker room call. The Blast reported that the siblings responded to the backlash by saying they had nothing but respect for the women’s hockey team.
In an interview, Quinn noted that the men’s hockey team was excited to meet Trump and confirmed that they had accepted his State of the Union invite. When asked about the women who rejected the offer, he noted the men’s team was “happy for them” but did not criticize Trump’s actions.
His brother echoed similar sentiments in a separate interview, claiming people were being unnecessarily negative about the incident. “They’ve got busy schedules, too. Everyone is giving us backlash for all the social media stuff today,” Jack said about the women’s team rejecting Trump’s invite.
