Moving on to some more on-ice stuff, I guess.
I mean, the team, like the Canucks are expected to make a lot of moves ahead of this trade deadline, a lot of pending RFAs coming up, or UFAs, not RFAs.
Um- Which doesn’t surprise me.
Yeah.
And like with that, though, what intrigues me is once you’ve got all these veteran players out, say Myers leaves, say they trade Kane, Bluger, David Kampf, all these players, there’s gonna be a lot of spots to fill, and it kind of makes me wonder who from Abbotsford would get the jump on that.
I feel like it’s safe to assume that Arshdeep Bains would end up coming up at some point.
I think Kudriatsev’s got a good shot.
I think Mancini is probably the next guy that you’re gonna call up if, you know, Myers ends up being moved and things get shuffled around a bit.
Mancini’ll probably be the next one up.
Um- You need a bigger guy up there.
Okay.
And Mancini, okay, yes, he’s 6’2″, but he’s also like a big guy, and he’s physical.
Yeah.
So he, he will bring that to the lineup- Yeah which I think is necessary at this point.
Mm-hmm.
And I kinda, I wonder as well, like this is, this is kinda less about play and more about like if it’s the case where the Canucks are kind of just riding out to the end of the season, where they don’t really care, like they’re about experience over points and stuff.
I wonder if a guy like Jett Wu would get a call-up, just given that he’s been with the organization since 2018, and on almost out of loyalty than anything else.
If things happen where they kind of, maybe they have some injuries on the blue line, and then they trade Myers and then maybe more trades, I don’t know.
Like if there are a lot of holes- I think- I wonder if- Yeah.
In the event that there are a lot of holes, I could see him coming up.
Yeah.
But do I think he’s first or second choice for that option?
No.
Mm-mm.

Do I think he deserves an opportunity?
Yes.
Yeah.
But- Make his NHL debut, right?
But there are just better options.
Yeah, or options I think that they would rather give the ice time to.
