Just a few weeks into the offseason, it seems every single day new reports and rumors are being made about who the Vancouver Canucks will be targeting/acquiring during the offseason, but only one name has popped up more than once.

With the Vancouver Canucks have a chance at acquiring Marco Rossi from the Minnesota Wild Through a trade or offer sheet? One key area of concern for the Canucks entering the 2025-2026 season is with their gap at the second line center position, as it is well known fact that Brock Boeser will be testing the market as a free-agent, essentially sealing his fate with the Canucks.

After an amazing campaign with the Wild, scoring 24 goals and 36 assists for 60 points 82 games at just 23-years-old, he clearly has a bright future in the NHL, but the end of season comments from himself and general manager Bill Guerin indicate his time with the team won’t last long.

60-point season, was demoted to the fourth line during their series against the Golden Knights, averaging 11:08 minutes of ice time, 7:07 less than his regular season average.

Rossi voiced his frustration with the decision when he said, «I have no doubt I am for sure a top-six guy,»

Now, a new report makes it clear that the 3 teams are top contender to land Rossi wither through a trade or offer sheet, notably the New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche and Canucks.

It is not clear if the Canucks are already in talks with the Wild to feel where they are at, but one thing is for certain that General Manager Bill Guerin is not a big fan of Rossi’s, and if teams are going to offer sheet him come signing day, they will most likely trade him.
