Top Bruins ProspectsJames Hagens

Drafted seventh overall in the 2025 NHL Draft, James Hagens has made an immediate impact on the ice. He may very well be a surefire thing for the Bruins.

Hagens was named Beanpot MVP with two goals and three assists in the tournament for Boston College. The dynamic skater has moves, like subtle fakes, that make it difficult to anticipate what’s next.

A sophomore, Hagens has over 40 points for BC. The 19-year-old dominated for Team USA at the World Junior Championship and appears ready to make an immediate impact with the Bruins once called up.

Fabian Lysell

Fabian Lysell was drafted 21st in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft. The Swedish forward had a glimpse of what the pro level was like, appearing in twelve games for the Bruins last season.

With the Bruins, Lysell scored one goal and had three points. One day, he hopes to bring his skills from Providence, with 15 goals, 23 assists, and 38 points this season, to the main roster.

Dean Letourneau

The 25th pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, Dean Letourneau was one of the top reasons in Boston College’s Beanpot win this year with a goal, adding to his 19 and 34 points. The 2025-2026 season was a massive improvement from his three-point effort the year before.

William Zellers

William Zellers was traded to the Bruins from Colorado (via the third round of the 2024 NHL Draft), and the 19-year-old looks to make an immediate impact.

Zellers scored 44 goals and picked up 71 points in the USHL during the 2024-2025 season. The USHL Player of the Year had eight points in five games at the IIHF World Junior Championship. He was a strong return in the trade that sent Charlie Coyle away.

While he needs to adapt to the Bruins’ style of play, Zellers has proven he can be a reliable scorer when called upon.

Andre Gasseau

One of the oldest players on the list, Andre Gasseau was picked up in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Draft. His skills have him matched up against some of the best within the Bruins’ system.

Gasseau has over 21 points this year and had 30 during the 2024-25 season. He can create and survive through chaos. In his final year with BC, Gasseau has proven he can be relied upon when it matters most.

Gasseau hopes his experience, especially in Beanpot action with other top prospects, will lead to success with those same players up in Boston.
