It could be that Eduards Tralmaks will be one-and-done as a Detroit Red Wings prospect. There are published reports out of Czechia that the Latvian forward currently playing for the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins will be joining Kladno of the Czech Extraliga next season.
According to the Czech website iSport, Tralmaks is set to sign a five-year contract with Kladno. The pact would begin with the 2026-27 season.

The Red Wings signed Tralmaks to a one-year contract last summer. In 2024-25, the Latvian led the Czech Extraliga in scoring with 23-28-51 totals while playing for Kladno.
After signing with the Red Wings, Tralmaks also agreed to a future deal with Czech club Karlovy Vary that would kick in next season if he didnāt make the NHL. However, the report indicated that Kladno had paid 200,000 Euros (approximately $232,000) to acquire the rights to Tralmaks.
The report continued to say that Tralmaks and Kladno reached an agreement on a five-year deal.
Red Wings Havenāt Given Tralmaks A Look
Tralmaks has scored 18 goals in 46 games this season with the Griffins. At the recent Milano Olympics, he led Latvia with three goals in four games.
āHe scores goals,ā Griffins coach Dan Watson said. āI think thereās still parts of his game that he can clean up a little bit. I think the defensive side of the puck is probably the biggest thing, and weāve had conversations about that.
During the Olympics, a lot of fans slid into my dms wondering if I could ask Eduards Tralmaks about the Lava Cakes in Olympic Village.

āItās not that heās bad at it, just being consistent, you know, and sometimes guys who have offensive minds, guys who want to score, thatās what they think about. And then they lean for offense versus really being responsible because they think thatās going to take away from their offensive game.ā
Skating is another questionable factor for Tralmaks.
āHeās a heavy guy, but that doesnāt mean he canāt skate, doesnāt mean he canāt get there,ā Watson said. Itās short bursts, and then from there.
āThatās one thing he could probably work on a little bit more.ā
