New comments from former Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller following Monday night’s defeat to Columbus are causing more frustration among New York Rangers fans.

Much like the Canucks, the New York Rangers have struggled on home ice this season, winning just seven games at Madison Square Garden this season and their last regulation win in The Big Apple came 99 days ago – November 24th, 2025 against the St. Louis Blues.

Latest comments from J.T. Miller causing more frustration for New York Rangers fans

Monday night’s game was a bit of a rollercoaster for the New York Rangers and their fans as the club went down 4-0 after 40 minutes before making a comeback that no one saw coming.

In the third period, the Rangers scored four goals, two of which came from Gabe Perreault, while J.T. Miller had an assist, to force overtime and however over a minute into the extra frame, it was the Columbus Blue Jackets who would pick up the winner thanks to Kirill Marchenko.

After the game, J.T. Miller met with reporters to discuss the game and the team’s comeback effort, but it was his comments about the start of the contest that have irked fans.

According to Miller, he thought the team had a strong start to the game, despite being outshot by Columbus 10-4 and down 2-0 after the first 20 minutes, and went on to add that after they were losing 3-0, he could start hear the fans at MSG booing once again.

“We had a great start, drew a penalty, scored on a penalty, it’s funny how the game works sometimes. All of a sudden it’s 3-0 and they’re booing again” Miller said.

As has been the case all season long, New York Rangers fans have flooded the comments to share their thoughts and opinions on J.T. Miller and on Monday, it’s safe to say that some of them have had enough.

“Maybe if our captain did anything that resembles what a captain should do for a dying team we wouldn’t do. Why they gave you a C I will never EVER understand.” @TheOfficialMrA1 said.

“The captaincy needs to be ripped off of this guy.” @PeterS_Tech said.

“Back to back worst captains in franchise history. Cannot make it up.” @Schneebly1993 said.

The New York Rangers still have 13 home games remaining this season, and it’s safe to say that the fan base is hoping that these next seven weeks fly by as they want the 2025-26 campaign to be over as soon as possible.
