ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Former St. Louis Cardinals and Blues executive Mark Sauer passed away Thursday, the Cardinals announced.
Sauer served as Cardinals Chief Operating Officer from 1989-91 before becoming an executive for the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Blues.
Before the Cardinals, Sauer was President and CEO of Civic Center Corporation/Anheuser Busch Companies, which owned Busch Memorial Stadium and other downtown properties.
