Sergachev had played in all 61 games of the season prior to the bout in Philly.
In game No. 61 against Washington on Tuesday, Utah escaped with a gritty 3-2 win over the Capitals in enemy territory. In addition to his goal and four shot attempts, Sergachev recorded a few blocks, one of which could’ve caused the injury.
No further information on Sergachev’s injury has been released. Considering his day-to-day status, it’s safe to say the injury isn’t serious and he will be able to return to the lineup before the road trip comes to an end on Tuesday.

In Sergachev’s absence, Dmitri Simashev was pulled up to the Mammoth’s third line, and Ian Cole joined Sean Durzi on the first. The last game against Philadelphia saw Utah scrape out a 5-2 win in overtime. In that victory, Sergachev recorded an assist and was instrumental on the back line with three blocked shots.
So far this season, Sergachev has recorded 10 goals, 32 assists, and averages 24:19 on the ice every night.
