PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – After winning 4 out of their last 5 games coming in, the Philadelphia Flyers fell flat on Monday night at home, falling 6-2 to the last-place New York Rangers.
The Rangers (25-30-8) led 3-0 after the first period.
Mika Zibanejad continued his mastery of the Flyers with a pair of goals, giving him 27 on the season.
Matvei Michkov and Sean Couturier scored the lone tallies for Philadelphia (29-23-11).
Goaltender Dan Vladar had a rare rough night, allowing all 6 goals before being pulled for Sam Ersson after the second period.
Philadelphia hosts Washington on Wednesday night.
