Jake Oettinger has been busy over the last few weeks. After winning an Olympic gold medal, the Stars goalie recently teamed up with Amazon to surprise HopeKids families in Grapevine.
The families were on a tour of the Amazon fulfillment center in Grapevine when they were surprised by Oettinger. As part of his surprise visit, Oettinger packed boxes with kids and Amazon employees. He was also joined by the group in celebrating a $10,000 donation from Amazon to the Dallas Stars Foundation.
In some of the photos from the visit, Oettinger can be seen sharing his gold medal with the event’s attendees.
This wasn’t the first time Oettinger has partnered with HopeKids. Oettinger has an initiative called Jake’s HopeCrew, where he invites children supported by the HopeKids organization to Stars games. HopeKids is an organization that supports children with life-threatening medical conditions.
