After a complete 4-1 team win on Wednesday, the Philadelphia Flyers (30-23-11) had a quick turnaround, getting on a plane to get ready for their matchup with the Minnesota Wild (38-16-11) on Thursday at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.
The Flyers are following up one of their best wins of the season. They are 3-2-0 in the last five games, and 6-3-1 over the last 10. Playoffs remain pretty far out of reach for the Flyers, but their record of 5-3-0 since the Olympic break has helped their surge.
The Minnesota Wild won’t have an issue making the postseason. They are one of the true Stanley Cup contenders. They’ve gone 3-1-1 over the past five games and 7-2-1 over the last 10. Since returning from the Olympics, the Wild are 4-2-1.
Puck drop is at 8:00 p.m. EST at Grand Casino Arena. Here is how the Flyers are expected to line up.

Game Notes
Thursday’s game is going to be a weird one. For the first time in his NHL career, Bobby Brink will be sharing the ice with the Flyers, but will be in an opposing uniform. Brink was traded to his hometown Wild at the trade deadline, and Thursday will be the first time he sees his former teammates since getting the call, since he wasn’t at the facility when the trade occurred.
After Wednesday’s game, Travis Konecny joked and said, “I am going to smoke him. I’m coming, Bobby.”
Jokes aside, I am curious about which Flyers team shows up vs. the Wild on Thursday. Wednesday seemed like a bit of an empty-the-tank kind of night, with everyone on the ice putting forward an excellent effort. They’re going to need that same sort of intensity to beat the Wild. Can they replicate it on back-to-back nights? Or, will the lack of rest hold them back?
Dan Vladar got the night off vs. Washington for some much-needed rest. Sam Ersson turned in a perfect night, helping the Flyers pick up the win. Vladar is expected to get the go on Thursday, so let’s see if he picks up where he returns to the Vladar we all know.
