Our opening game of NHL predictions is the first meeting of the season between the Anaheim Ducks and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Lukas Dostal is the projected starter for the Ducks but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Anaheim is entering this game is 8-2 in its previous 10 games, including wins in three of the last four games. Cutter Gauthier leads the club in goals (32) and points (57).
Joseph Woll is the expected starter for Toronto, which is 2-6-2 in its last 10 games. This includes eight consecutive losses after sweeping the Alberta teams. It’s turning into a season to forget for Toronto, which has fallen well short of expectations. William Nylander is first in assists (38) and points (60) for the Maple Leafs.
Anaheim is currently in first in the Pacific Division, while Toronto is playing out the string. The Ducks should win this one.
