A bizarre moment in Canadiens-Senators saw a puck cross the line behind Linus Ullmark without a call, sparking viral confusion after Montreal’s 3-2 win.

We can agree that the rivalry between the Canadiens and the Senators never disappoints, but what happened Wednesday night at the Canadian Tire Centre was quite strange.

Juraj Slafkovsky was at the center of a sequence that is going viral this morning, where a fourth goal appears to be scored without the officials noticing.

Let’s be honest, the Canadiens won 3-2 in Ottawa, but the confusion is total on social media. In the footage, you can see the puck cross the line behind Linus Ullmark, yet play continued as if nothing had happened.

This victory is a big boost for morale, especially with Jacob Fowler who was outstanding in net. The young goaltender finished the game with 32 saves and earned his first win with the big club since January 7.

Ivan Demidov continues to prove he is a major asset for the team’s offensive resurgence. He recorded 1 goal and 1 assist in the game, reaching the 51-point mark this season in the NHL.

A playoff race that is intensifying

Montreal now holds a 6-1-3 record over its last 10 games and is tied with the Lightning for second place in the Atlantic Division. The collective effort was noticeable despite the absence of Cole Caufield, who is still dealing with a virus.

Juraj Slafkovsky made history by surpassing Henri Richard for the most points in franchise history before the age of 22. He now has 164 career points in the NHL, a colossal achievement for the young power forward.

Alexandre Texier also took advantage of his return to find the back of the net, while Lane Hutson delivered a solid performance at the blue line. Simply put, the Canadiens seem to have found their rhythm at the best possible time on the schedule.
