Despite the NHL trade deadline being past, teams can make trades involving minor league players, and on Thursday, the Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning have made a trade with one another.
The Red Wings are sending Ian Mitchell to the Lightning, while the Lightning are moving Michael Milne and Wojciech Stachowiak to Detroit.
Stachowiak is a former member of the MSU hockey program from 2018-2020, and most notably competed for team Germany in the 2026 Olympic Games.
