The high school East Regional finals taking place tonight, with Dixon on the road at Western Alamance, and Lejeune home against Wake prep, tonight’s winners advance to this weekend’s state championship games.

High school baseball, South Lenoir will play in the state finals for the first time in school history, Paul Novicki’s squad rallied to win the last 2 games of the East Regional championship to punch their ticket, now they take on East Rutherford in a best 2 out of 3 series starting Friday night in Burlington.

South Lenoir will play East Rutherford Friday 5 pm at Burlington Athletic Park then again at 11 am Saturday if a third game is needed. It would be on Saturday at 5:00 pm.

JH Rose’s baseball team will also play in the state finals, but this isn’t the Rampants first rodeo. They will take on North Lincoln in Holly Springs near Raleigh, they play Friday at 5:00 p.m.. Saturday at 11 and if a 3rd game is needed, 5:00 pm on Saturday.

And we have 2 softball teams playing for state titles. North Lenoir plays West Wilkes in Greensboro on Friday at 5:00 p.m. While DH Conley plays South Caldwell in Durham at Duke’s field at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
