The Flames beat the Devils Thursday night 5-4. In their last five games, the Flames have a 2-3-0 record, scoring 2.8 goals per game while allowing 4.6. The Flames beat the Islanders in their only other meeting this year, 4-2 on January 17th in Calgary.

New York Islanders News & Notes:

The Islanders lost last night, 3-2, to the Los Angeles Kings. In their previous five games, the Islanders have a 2-3-0 record, scoring 2.4 goals per game while conceding 3.4. The Islanders are two points ahead of the Blue Jackets for the Third spot in the Metropolitan Division, but Columbus has a game in hand. The Islanders are tied in points with the Penguins, who sit in the second spot in the Metropolitan Division, but the Penguins do have a game in hand over the Islanders. With 16 games left to play for the Islanders, there is still plenty of shifting around seeding-wise before the playoffs start.
