Philly Hockey Now: The Philadelphia Flyers are heating up. Post trade deadline, they are 3-1-0, and most recently won both games of a back-to-back for the first time all season. Their latest win was a thrilling shootout comeback vs. the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul.
The NCAA hockey season is over for some, and nearing the end for others. Philly only has so many open contract spots, but there is room to make a signing or two. If the Flyers choose to sign a college free agent, who should be on their radar?
A player taking up one of those contract spots: recently signed draft pick Noah Powell, who most recently played at Arizona State. On Wednesday, the Flyers signed the former 5th-round pick to an ELC.

Sportsnet: Speaking of major penalties, one NHL star has one less on his record. Maths MacKinnon earned a major penalty and game misconduct after running into Oilers goalie Connor Ingram. In a small victory for the Avalanche forward, the NHL has rescinded the major penalty, clearing MacKinnon’s record.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Right when the Flyers are heating up, the Pittsburgh Penguins seem to be cooling off. After suffering another loss, Dan Kingerski writes why it might be time to worry in Pittsburgh.
Boston Hockey Now: The Boston Bruins were on a 13-game point streak. It was an impressive one that helped put them in the second wild card spot. That streak was ended by the San Jose Sharks, and Jack Studley breaks down the Bruins’ latest loss.
New Jersey Hockey Now: This season has been less than ideal for the New Jersey Devils, as they have fallen out of the race. Olympic and Devils star Jack Hughes voiced his frustrations with the team’s goal scoring following a loss to the Calgary Flames.
