Buffalo Sabres goalie prospect Devon Levi was the subject of trade rumors leading up to the 2026 NHL trade deadline. While the Sabres ended up holding on to him past the deadline, The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta recently reported that the Sabres are expected to listen to offers for Levi during the summer.
Because of this, let’s look at two teams that could make sense as landing spots for Levi if the Sabres shop him this off-season.

Philadelphia Flyers
While Dan Vladar has been a great fit on the Flyers this season, Samuel Ersson has struggled significantly. Because of this, the Flyers should be looking to add a goalie this off-season. Levi could be a player who grabs the Flyers’ attention, as they are rebuilding, and he is still only 24 years old.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers could also make sense as a landing spot for Levi this summer. Tristan Jarry has struggled mightily since being acquired by Edmonton, while Connor Ingram is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA). With this, the Oilers certainly could look for goalie help this summer. Levi would give them a young and very affordable option with his $812,500 cap hit.
