The venue at Ronald Reagan Sports Park had been shut during a closure that started in early 2025 and cost about $4.1 million.

But the rink has been back since a late December ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“So just when you think life can’t get any better in Temecula, it does,” Temecula City Councilmember Zak Schwank told the crowd at the event.

The venue now sports an upgraded playing surface, safety glass around the rink and a steel roof. There’s also a new scoreboard, lighting, a drinking fountain, Wi-Fi access, storage areas, a fan system and improvements for those with disabilities.

Now the rink that opened in the mid-1990s is again hosting youth games, tournaments and family recreation.
