Johansen is the sixth on the Predators’ all-time scoring list.
He was originally the No. 4 overall pick by the Blue Jackets in the 2010 NHL Draft.
He had a 63-point season followed by a 71-point season for Columbus, but he was traded midway through the 2015-16 season to Nashville in exchange for Seth Jones.
Johansen spent more than seven seasons in Nashville, including the 2017 run to the Stanley Cup Finals.

He played 533 regular season games for the Predators. In that tenure, Johansen scored 110 goals and added 252 assists.
He last played in the NHL in 2023-24 with the Avalanche, for whom he had 23 points in 63 games. Colorado did deal him to the Philadelphia Flyers, but an injury popped up at that point and Johansen didn’t take to the ice again.
Now, Johansen has made it official that his hockey career as a player is over. It was a good one.
