Two Maple Leafs With Term Remaining on Their Deals Officially Placed on the Trading Block

As the Maple Leafs prepare for significant roster changes, two Maple Leafs have appeared on Daily Faceoff’s early off-season ‘trade bait’ board.
As the Leafs prepare for life without Mitch Marner and for a potentially expensive 2026 free agent class, the Leafs are open to freeing up more cap space by getting creative with players that have term left on their contracts.
Moving Rielly will be a massive task considering that he holds a no-movement clause for the next two seasons and is not going to be considering a change of scenery anytime soon based on his comments last week during the Leafs’ end of season media availability.
Kampf, on the other hand, holds a modified no-trade clause, but with a reasonable cap hit, the Leafs should be able to move him, if they choose to, in order to free up additional cap space.
As free agency and the draft draws closer, Leafs Nation should expect some level of clarity about the Leafs’ off-season plans, especially with GM Brad Treliving set to meet with the media on Thursday.
