Division-leading Avalanche look to remain unbeaten on their road trip as they skate into D.C. to face off against the Capitals

Having already clinched a playoff spot, the Colorado Avalanche head into Sunday afternoon’s matinee matchup against the Washington Capitals with a three point lead over Dallas in the Central Division standings with 14 games to play in the regular season as they look to pull off the season sweep and win their fourth consecutive road win in this series. The Capitals are six points out of the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference with 12 games left on their season slate, but have won four of their last six games, including three out of their last four on their home ice.
