Montreal Canadiens prospect Alexander Zharovsky has just wrapped up a brilliant first regular season in the Kontinental Hockey League.

The young Salavat Yulaev Ufa player scored his final goal of the season with a beautiful one-timer.

That key goal greatly helped his team secure another win against HC Sochi!

Finishing the schedule with that kind of offensive production places the forward among the elite in KHL history.

Specifically, Canadiens prospect Zharovsky recorded the second-highest single-season point total in league history for a player under 20 years old.

Achieving this feat puts him alongside none other than Kirill Kaprizov in that prestigious spot in the record books.

It’s young Ivan Demidov who still holds the all-time mark in that age category thanks to his performances last year.

That says a lot about Zharovsky’s offensive potential!

Will Alexander Zharovsky join the Montreal Canadiens this spring?

Now, the talented right winger can fully focus on preparing for his second career playoff run.

Several Montreal fans are quietly hoping to see him arrive in North America as soon as his team is eliminated, just like we saw with Demidov last season.

Kent Hughes is certainly keeping a very close eye on the development of his young prospect.

Alexander Zharovsky, 19, has 42 points in 59 games this season. He is a 6-foot-1 forward and was selected in the second round by the Montreal Canadiens in 2025.

Kirill Kaprizov, 28, has 80 points in 69 games this season. He is a 5-foot-10 forward and was selected in the fifth round by the Minnesota Wild in 2015.

Ivan Demidov, 20, has 52 points in 69 games this season. He is a 6-foot forward and was a first-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2024.

Do you think there’s a chance Zharovsky signs with the Canadiens as early as this spring?
