Six Bruins prospects are entering the NCAA tournament, while several others are nearing the jump to the professional ranks.
Two of the prospects are playing in Loveland, Colorado, while the others are playing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Apologies to any local Bruins fans looking to catch them in action; instead, the games will be on the ESPN Networks.
And 2025 first-round pick James Hagens has been in talks lately, as Boston College’s season came to an end on Friday.
The BC Hockey Blog reported that the Bruins “are not guaranteeing” Hagens an NHL roster spot, and Emily Kaplan reported that the holdup is determining the path forward.
The priority for Hagens, per Kaplan, is to play 82 games in the NHL next season.
Aside from Hagens, the Bruins have a handful of prospects graduating from college. The Bruins have until August to sign them, though some will likely join the organization before then.
In the USHL, Cooper Simpson found the scoresheet again – five times this weekend – and still sits second in the USHL points race.
Here’s how the rest of the Bruins’ prospects are performing this season:
