The Buffalo, New York hockey community is absolutely buzzing right now. The Buffalo Sabres are red hot. The bandwagon is getting heavier and the Western New York community is loving the excitement after not having a playoff game for 15 years. Last year, teams that were making the playoffs put their tickets available to purchase in the first week of April for most teams for the general public.

The last playoff game that was played by the Buffalo Sabres was April 26th, 2011.

Now, during the most prolific and exciting hockey that we have seen in Western New York, the Buffalo Sabres announced that there will be more ticket information coming as the Sabres look to lock up a playoff spot this week.

How much are tickets going to be to the Buffalo Sabres playoff games in the first round?

For reference, when the Florida Panthers put their tickets for the first round of the playoffs last season on sale tickets were below $100 per ticket for most low tier level seating. Now that is no indication that that will be the price for the Buffalo games, but fans were worried that the opening round would be thousands and thousands of dollars to start. Obviously, the price will be way more than that for the 200 and 100 level sections.

Of course we do not know exactly who will be playing who in the playoffs but we do know that in the third week of April there will be playoff hockey and it will be played in Western New York at the KeyBank Center.

Next week you will receive your 2026 member playoff guide”, the Buffalo Sabres wrote in an email to all season ticket holders.

The season ticket members will have first crack at buying seats for any and all playoff games and they will get the ticketing information, deadlines and pricing by next week.

The email also noted that they anticipate the tickets to selling out very quickly as people are very excited about hockey and Western New York right now. Buffalo can clinch the playoffs as early as this week with at least two more wins and a couple of losses by other teams.
