COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — An artist has put a unique spin on a drawing of the Arena District in Columbus, capturing the essence of the area’s sports culture.

Nick Badman, known on Instagram as @cityboy.media, recently shared his artwork on social media, where it quickly garnered admiration from fans.

The drawing pays homage to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Crew, Columbus Clippers, and Columbus Fury, as well as the entire district.

Badman began creating such drawings during the pandemic, initially focusing on Indianapolis, where he resided at the time. Since then, he has expanded his portfolio to include cities like Dayton and Toledo. This marks his first artistic depiction of Columbus.

“I do always try to make some sort of key image that’s reflective of the area,” Badman said. “In this case, it nods to all the professional teams that play in the Arena District.”

Fans can purchase CityBoy prints through the CityBoyMedia Etsy page and explore more of his work on his Instagram account. Badman said he is currently working on additional drawings for downtown Columbus and German Village.
