With the second period winding down, Utah went up once more to take a 3-2 lead into the third. With time ticking down, Artemi Panarin scored the equalizer to force overtime, but the Mammoth ultimately came out on top.

Calgary, on the other hand, is on a three game win streak with its last outing resulting in a 4-3 win over the Lightning in overtime. Victor Olofsson opened the scoring for the Flames with a goal shortly before the end of the first period to even the score before Morgan Frost gave Calgary the lead with only three minutes left in the first. Halfway through the second, Mikael Backlund extended the lead to 3-1. Tampa Bay scored two unanswered goals to bring the game to 3-3 by the end of regulation, but Ryan Strome put in the game-winning goal just 25 seconds into overtime to secure the victory.

Calgary and Los Angeles met at the end of February in a Pacific Division matchup and the Kings skated away with a 2-0 victory. Adrian Kempe and Alex Laferriere were the goal scorers for the Kings in that win.
