Connor McDavid continues to rack up points during his NHL career like he’s from a different era.

The Edmonton Oilers superstar has joined Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux in hockey history after notching a milestone point on Tuesday night.
McDavid is now the third-fastest player in NHL history to reach 1,200 points, according to the NHL.
Ironically, in the same game, McDavid notched his 400th career goal.
It all came as part of a much-needed 5-2 Oilers win over the Utah Mammoth.

It took McDavid 784 games to reach 1,200 points, third-best behind just Gretzky and Lemieux.
Amazingly, it took Gretzky just 504 games to reach 1,200 points.

It took Lemieux 593 games to reach the round-number mark.
McDavid scored a goal during the second period on a breakaway to put the Oilers up 3-2 on Tuesday night to give him 400 for his career.
Then he scored an empty-netter to seal the win, his 40th goal of the season and his 1,200th career point.
This season, McDavid has 40 goals and 78 assists through 72 games (118 points).
And in his career, McDavid has scored 401 goals and dished out 799 assists in 784 games.
