A fascinating scene involving Arber Xhekaj was captured in the stands during last night’s big win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

The rugged defenseman unfortunately had to once again watch the game from the press box.

Head coach Martin St-Louis once again made the decision to leave him out of the lineup for this important matchup.

However, an image captured by the podcast “The Curfew Boys” shows that the young man was in excellent company.

Former Montreal Canadiens player Chris Nilan took the time to sit down and talk with number 72 for quite a while.

Nicknamed “Knuckles,” the former tough guy of the organization knows perfectly well the reality and pressure associated with that physical style of play.

Everyone is obviously wondering what the two men could have said during that private conversation.

Will Chris Nilan’s advice help Arber Xhekaj?

In all likelihood, the veteran probably shared valuable advice and words of encouragement with the young Xhekaj.

Receiving direct support from a former player, especially one known for his physical play, is certainly a very positive gesture.

It also shows the great class of Chris Nilan.

Fans are now hoping that this conversation will motivate Arber Xhekaj for his eventual return to action.

The Sheriff will need to make sure he’s fully ready when the coaching staff calls on him again.

Chris Nilan played 688 games with the Montreal Canadiens, racking up over 2000 penalty minutes and winning the Stanley Cup in 1986.

Looks like Knuckles having a chat with Arber. Probably sharing some wisdom with the kid; telling him to keep his chin up & continue working hard!
