Last night the Rangers certainly played with more life than in their last game, but the Leafs opened the scoring with two that both featured Jake McCabe:

And McCabe doing his usual job blocking to generate a turnover:

The Rangers came back with two goals in the second, John Tavares got it to 4-2, and Mika Zibanejad almost immediately got one back.

Final score was 4-3 Leafs, and yes, they got massively outshot. Who could have foreseen that?

Easton Cowan was fun to watch in this one. But what this game really show you is… lol, never mind, it all means nothing.

SOMEONE GET THAT PUCK!

The previous holder of this title is now a depth centre with the Bruins:

‘Love the iPad’: NHL players, coaches talk bench screen time

Technology and sports have countless intersections. One trend in the NHL over the better part of the last decade has been the use of digital tablets in-game that can provide coaches and players with near-instant replays.

NHL playoff chase in East is ‘fight for your life’ down the stretch

Connor McDavid called the Pacific Division path to the playoffs “a bit of a pillow fight right now.” The same race down the stretch in the NHL’s Eastern Conference is anything but.

And that’s it. Next game is Saturday for the start of the western road trip.
