The playoff bound Dallas Stars are getting back back one of their most talented players on Saturday as right winger Mikko Rantanen was activated off the injured reserve.
The 29-year-old, who suffered a lower-body injury while playing for his native Finland at Milano Cortina 2026 in February, will be in the lineup for Dallas’ game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Rantanen has missed 15 games and hasn’t appeared in an NHL game since Feb. 4 due to the injury.
Rantanen has tallied 20 goals and 49 assists over 54 games in 2025-26, his first full season with the the Stars since being acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes ahead of last year’s trade deadline.
The Stars have already locked down a playoff spot, currently sitting second in the Central Division with a 43-18-11 record.
