The Washington Capitals won’t see David Kampf just yet, as they’ll close out their three-game road swing against the Vegas Golden Knights with the same lineup they had just 48 hours ago.
Per coach Spencer Carbery, the Capitals’ personnel will remain the same.

Kampf officially joined the team on the road in Utah, though he did not play against the Utah Mammoth and will remain a healthy scratch on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Ethen Frank made more progress and upgraded from a non-contact jersey as he works his way back from a day-to-day, lower-body injury, per radio broadcaster John Walton, though he won’t make his return just yet.
With Frank and Kampf remaining out, Ivan Mirohsnichenko will get his second straight game in the lineup. Carbery liked what he saw from the rookie back on Thursday, where he had two goals against the Mammoth and continued to embrace his role, and that’s the goal for him down the stretch as he looks to stay in the lineup for these final games of the regular season.
“I think Miro is finding his identity at the NHL level, so you saw some of it the other night. What does he do and what is he going to need to do at the NHL level? He’s a goal scorer. He’s going to have to find ways to create scoring opportunities,” Carbery said, adding, “That’s number one, and then the second thing is just his ability to become a reliable, solid (player), understand all the reads, plays, decisions that need to be made consistently shift to shift.”
Logan Thompson will get the nod against his former club, marking his second consecutive start in net.
Puck drop is at 10:30 p.m. ET.
