A very interesting gesture by Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jacob Fowler is drawing attention.

It says a lot about his attachment and love for Montreal and for Quebec!

He decided to remove his well-known Florida plate from his goalie mask and replace it with a Quebec plate, featuring the iconic “Je me souviens” prominently!

It’s a subtle gesture, but one that says so much about his intentions and his love for his new home.

Jacob Fowler changes his helmet and Montreal Canadiens fans love it

Tonight, against the Predators in Nashville, the young goaltender indeed made his debut with a beautiful brand-new mask.

The detail that is particularly catching attention is, without a doubt, the Florida license plate being replaced by a Quebec plate.

For an athlete born in Florida, this shift clearly shows how quickly he has grown attached to his new home.

A rather amusing and very interesting fact: both of the team’s current goaltenders proudly display elements of Quebec culture on their respective masks.

Even though they are neither Quebecers nor Canadian by birth, Jacob Fowler and Jakub Dobes appear eager to embrace Quebec identity.

In Jakub Dobes’ case, you can also spot a beautiful fleur-de-lis along with the iconic chant “Olé Olé Olé.”

These small symbolic gestures, while simple on the surface, go a long way in building a strong bond of trust and connection with fans.
