The Edmonton Oilers have the opportunity on Thursday night to close out the Western Conference final and head to a Stanley Cup Final rematch.
As for the Dallas Stars, down 3-1 in this conference final, they need to win at home to send the series back to Edmonton and keep their hopes alive.
Game time is 8 p.m. EDT, and you can watch it on ESPN or livestream it on ESPN+, fubo TV (FREE trial), Sling TV (discount) or DIRECTV (FREE trial and discount).
This best-of-seven series started at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, with the Stars owning home-ice advantage. They won Game 1 before losing the next three to fall behind 3-1 in the series. The Oilers have gotten 14 points combined from two of the best players in the world, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has nine.
Meanwhile, the Oilers have held the Stars to only two goals since their five-goal third period for a 6-3 win in the series opener. In fact, except for that outburst, the Stars have been outscored 16-3 in the other 11 periods in this series.
This is the same Dallas team that ranked third in the NHL and matched Winnipeg atop the West with 3.35 goals a game in the regular season, and was shut out only once. The Stars have four shutout losses this postseason, including in Game 2 in their last time at home.
